Durham: center of tech

Durham is a growing tech hub with many opportunities for job growth. It has attracted big names like IBM, Infosys, and Facebook.

Durham is home to the world’s largest tech park outside of Silicon Valley. The park, known as Research Triangle Park or RTP, is an amazingly large research hub that houses over 100 companies ranging from tech startups to major players like IBM. The region employs more than 150,000 technology workers and has added close to 25% more jobs in the last six years.

The region’s unemployment rate of 4% is significantly lower than the national average of 5%.

The city also has a low cost of living and ranks high on Forbes list of Best Places for Businesses and Careers.
