A Family Owned Business

The Weitz Family

Weitz Real Estate is a family owned business. We are not a franchise, corporate office or operating under a license agreement. Our company is a Durham-based, Durham-centric locally owned company.

That means when you choose to do business with our company, you will not get a cold ‘back office’ type feel. Rather, you will most likely deal with the company owner directly on the majority of your interactions with Weitz Real Estate! It is hard to beat the white glove style customer service that a company owner can deliver to their clients.

Several years ago, Tyler and his now former business partner decided to scale their real estate company. This process involved hiring multiple people, adding the Charlotte market into the mix, and expanding the variety of real estate the company would pursue. He learned first hand the level of difficulty in scaling a model this way and also got to see how quickly the ‘owners touch’ with clients disappeared once new staff members took over certain roles.

In founding Weitz Real Estate, Tyler wanted to make sure that did not happen again. Therefore, our company has chosen to take a ‘less is more’ approach by keeping operations small and efficient, and focusing on quality transactions instead of a quantity based approach.

This has allowed us to keep our hands on 5 star approach with our customers, and it shows quite well! Check out our reviews online to see exactly what our clients have to say about this.
